Tim has litigated over 70 jury trials, in addition to thousands of motions and bench trials, in a distinguished career spanning over 24 years as an attorney.

Tim has dedicated his professional life to helping others in need, providing skillful legal representation and advocating for others who are often troubled, struggling, or unfamiliar with the judicial system.
Tim specializes in Criminal Defense, having opened his own law practice 8 years ago.​ Protecting the rights of the community, Tim defends individuals facing charges raging from traffic offenses to first-degree murder charges.
Tim also engages in Civil Practice: Appointed by the Presiding Judge of the George N. Leighton Criminal Courthouse, Tim represents individuals with severe mental health concerns facing involuntary civil commitment.

Tim provides a voice for the abused and seeks civil orders of protection and stalking/no-contact orders on behalf of his clients and represents victims pursuant to Marsy’s Law.

Prior to private practice, Tim began his lifetime of public service as an Assistant State's Attorney with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in 1995. He spent over 16 years in this office, mostly in the Felony Trial Division. As a first chair, he supervised over 300 felony cases, including a personal caseload of 40 murder case files, while mentoring younger assistants. Tim continues to mentor youths in the community by judging Moot Court competitions and high school Mock Trial Invitationals.
